WHY CLIMB?

Chances are you know someone who has been affected by lung disease. In fact, 1 in 5 Canadians are living with lung disease.

That is why we will “Step Up” to help raise awareness and critical funds for programs and services provided by LungNSPEI.

For over 100 years, our supporters have been leading the way to improve lung health. In order to make our communities healthier places to live and breathe, we need to work together on our mission: advocacy, research, patient services and education.

Together, we have been supporting patients with COPD, lung cancer, sleep apnea, children with asthma, and those awaiting lung transplant surgery. We have taken a leadership role in advocacy on lung health issues. We’re at the forefront of prevention; providing awareness and programming for key lung health issues like radon, youth vaping and smoking cessation.

Unfortunately, we continue to have some of the highest rates of lung health disease across the country. With your help, we’re changing that.

Together, we can make prevention and improved lung health a priority today.

Parking: Free parking pass for all registered participants

About Stair Heroes:

Stair Heroes is a unique, stair climb held at Scotia Square Mall in Halifax. Together we will STEP-UP for the 1 in 5 Nova Scotians & Islanders living with lung disease and raise critical awareness and funds to support LungNSPEI programs & services.

Our hero theme is based on our partnership with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. Our community heroes will be joining us and climbing the 36 flights in full fire fighting gear to show their support of lung health!

Climb Categories: Firefighter & General Public

We encourage everyone to register and participate and to help raise critical donations. Our top three fundraisers will win prizes:

$1000 travel voucher for 1st place fundraiser
$500 travel voucher for 2nd place fundraiser
$250 travel voucher for 3rd place fundraiser

Registration fees include; a participation medal, swag bag, light refreshments and entertainment for the entire family. Scotia Square will be bustling with activities for the kids, music and special guests.

Our goal is that each participant has fun and does their absolute best to raise an average of $200 each in pledges.
